Description

The present Cape Hatteras Light, which is the tallest lighthouse in the US, is the second light in the area. It is, however at a different location from where the previous tower stood. The light was moved in 1999 to prevent the ocean from taking it.

Pros:
Cons:

I only saw this lighthouse from a distance in 1992(before it was moved). It is one of the most beautiful lighthouses. It is also one of my favorites.
