About 10 miles from the coast of Cutler, Maine, Machias Seal Island is in dispute over whether it belongs to Canada or to the U.S. Right now, the Canandian Coast Guard mans the light and takes care of the island, which is a sanctuary for puffins, razorbills, terns, and other birds. The whole experience is amazing and I definitely recoomend a trip out to this island.
