Pros:
Cons:
We took the ferry to Ocracock Island from Cedars Island. It is a 2 1/2 hour boat ride. The harbor town is a fun place to shop - there are lots of different types of shops from pottery to souvenirs to books to kayaking! The locals say that the shopping area is in about a 1 mile radius. It is easy to get around and the lighthouse is a short walk off the main road. The light is not open but it is still worth the walk!
