Pros:
Easy to access to view, no park fee
Cons:
Since it's on its own mini island, you can't right up close to it.
It is often windy at Cape Neddick and as a result, there are giant waves that often crash around it, which make for terrific photographs. Just be careful, because the best viewing area is on giant boulders which can also get hit with water and can become slick- wear hiking shoes on these rocks!
If you get a chance to visit this lighthouse, definitely take it- it's a gorgeous lighthouse with an often spectacular view.

Pros:
Great views of the lighthouse, beautiful area, no fees
Cons:
Not good for those who want to see from close up
Cape Neddick Light, or Nubble Light, is a wonder. There's probably only one other lighthouse that is similar to it (Portland Head Light), and it is in a beautiful area. The views are great and it is possible to capture some pretty amazing snapshots. I've been to Nubble Light at least twice and I never fail to be amazed by its beauty. However, you can't get very close to the lighthouse if you don't have your own boat, as it's on its own island, although that doesn't bother me some people who like to see lighthouses a little more close up might be disappointed.

Worth a trip. It's a classic view; photographs great at sunset. But you can't actually visit it, as it's across water on a little island.
