Description
If Turkey Point Light looks surprisingly similar to nearby Concord Point Light, it is because it was built by the same man, John Donahoo, who used the same plans for the two lights. Unlike Concord Point Light, however, the tower of Turkey Point light is located on the high bluffs of Turkey Point over the Chesapeake Bay. It is also noted for having several female light keepers, including Elizabeth Lusby, Rebecca L. Crouch, Georgiana S. Brumfield, and Fannie May Salter .
Turkey Point Light Station Inc. is the organization that currently owns and maintains the light.
