Castle Hill Light has an amazing dramatic view... once you can find it. It's like a maze driving out to it and many of the roads were unmarked... we finally had to pull into the Castle Hill Inn grounds and ask where the lighthouse was. It turns out the lighthouse is actually on the Inn's grounds, through a path in the woods. Once through the path, though, there was picturesque views of the lighthouse, water, cliffs and even wildlife like monarch butterflies and rabbits. The area is very serene and calming- just don't step in poison ivy!

Short, stubby, and beautiful. Ignore the "no visitors" sign on the way to the lighthouse. Park at the Castle Hill Inn and take the path at the far end of the parking lot. There's no visitor center or access to the light itself, but the grounds are open 24/7.
