Description
The Old South Foreland lighthouse was built in 1793. The South Foreland lighthouse constructed in 1843 replaced the old light. The light stands near the edge of the white cliffs of Dover and is now privately owned. The lighthouse is not accessible but can be seen at a distance along the white cliffs from the grounds of the National Trust where the South Foreland lighthouse is located.
