Description
The Asylum Point Lighthouse was built in 1937 as a part of the WPA but was never used as a navigational aid. The lighthouse was restored in 2007 by the Winnebago County Parks. The photograph shown, obviously, were taken before the restoration. At the time, there was no access to the grounds where the lighthouse stands.
