Description
The lighthouse on the Canadian Coast Guard base in Saint John was built by coastguardsmen during the 1980s and is an octagonal tower 33 feet tall. The light has an operating clamshell Fresnel lens in its lantern room from the Grindstone Island lighthouse but is not used as an active aid to navigation.
In the photo with two lights, the Coast Guard Base light is the one to the right.
