Description
The light on Ram Island can be viewed distantly from the road along Ocean Point. The lighthouse was decommissioned by the USCG in 1965 after which the keeper's residence fell into disrepair. The light has been transferred to the Grand Banks Schooner Museum Trust that has restored the keeper's residence and caretakers again reside on the island. The walkway from the shore to the lighthouse was rebuilt in 2002.
