Description
The Pipe Island lighthouse stands on a small island in the St Marys River and is still an active aid to navigation.
The 44' tower was built in 1888. The lantern room has been removed and a skeletal steel tower with a range type daymark was added in 1937.
Distant views are available from lab but this lighthouse is best seen from the water.
