Description
The Stamford Harbor Ledge light, aka the Chatham Rocks light, is a cast iron "spark plug" type lighthouse that stands in Stamford Harbor. It is visible from land.
This lighthouse has been privately owned since its automation in 1953 and is now operated as a private aid to navigation.
When I photographed it in September 2009 on a rather rainy and foggy afternoon, it was looking like it was in pretty sorry condition.
