Description
This lighthouse is within the Silver Lake State Park and is surrounded by sand dunes on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan. It is an active light with the original third-order fresnel lens in place.
The tower was white until 1977 when it was sand blasted to save costs in painting.

Pros:

Tower is now open on weekends. $2.00 to climb, Well worth it.

Cons:
|
You need to have a State Park sticker to get in, or you have to buy a 1 day pass.

I love visiting this light.
