Description
The first lighthouse in Sheboygan was built on North Point about 1 mile north of the current location on North Pier. In 1873, the first lighthouse was built on North Pier, but it was destroyed by a fire on March 17, 1880 and the lighthouse was moved and rebuilt several times. The present light was built in 1915.
The lantern room was removed and there are now weather devices and radio antenna on top of the lighthouse.
