DescriptionThe Swift Point or Green Head light is one of a number of lights along the navigable St John River in New Brunswick. The lighthouse was established at Swift Point in 1869 and still serves as an aid to navigation maintained by the Canadian Coast Guard. This particular light is used for point to point navigation in conjunction with the Sand Point lighthouse on the river.
