DescriptionThe Frying Pan Shoal Lightship is one of 13 surviving light ships of the more than 100 built over the years. LV-115 is the ship's official designation. She is just over 133 feet long with a beam of 30 feet and is now berthed at Pier 63 on the Hudson River in NYC. She served to warn mariners away from the Frying Pan shoal off Cape Fear, NC from 1930 to 1965.
