The Staten Island Lighthouse is a yellow brick octagonal tower that stands 90 feet tall in a residential area of Staten Island. The light serves as the rear range light teamed with the West Bank light. The light has a bivalve 2nd order Fresnel lens, half of which is still in use. A second light mounted on the gallery level of the tower allows the light to serve as the Swash Channel Rear Range light.
