DescriptionThe DeWatteville Rear Range Light was also established in 1927. The light consists of a skeletal steel tower that is painted red with a white wooden service room below a red iron lantern room, which once housed a Fresnel lens.
The rear range was upgraded in 1992 with a fluorescent orange triangular day mark with a black vertical stripe. The rear light's day mark is inverted relative to the front range so that when a vessel is in the channel, the tips of the triangular day marks are point to point and the vertical black stripes are aligned.
